Ayu Herba’s primary mission has never been financial; indeed, Dr Sangeeta leads the company with a great sense of social responsibility. She helps communities in many countries, with a strong focus on helping women (particularly underprivileged women and women from low-income backgrounds) achieve empowerment, independence, and confidence.

Over the years, Dr Sangeeta has nurtured and coached many underprivileged women, providing hands-on training and a much-needed boost to their confidence and self-esteem. She has often helped these women secure the relevant certifications or international accreditation required to practice their new skills. She has also taught them how to set up their very own outlets, often based on the Ayu Herba business model.

Today, some of these women are highly qualified and rank amongst the top cosmetologists and recognized consultants in the wellness and beauty industry in their countries.

As part of Dr Sangeeta’s commitment to share her knowledge and provide training, Ayu Herba was instrumental in producing a vocational training CD for distance-learning students. This initiative’s principal objective was to help women start small, home-based wellness and beauty businesses, thus empowering them and helping them improve their own or their families financial situation.

In 2021 in Singapore, Ayu Herba launched an initiative to empower women and support sustainability. Dr Sangeeta began working with local plant growers to cultivate Ayurvedic medicinal plants to produce organic essential oils and other natural ingredients to make hand-made organic soap. She also supports local women in Singapore to market these products by arranging various events like bazaars and online sales.

In addition to focusing on underprivileged women, Ayu Herba has also worked with volunteers from Lions Clubs of Singapore in several elderly homes to provide holistic therapy products and services. Dr Sangeeta has also worked with other disadvantaged groups, especially the visually impaired, training them on the Ayu Herba signature ‘Integrated Head Massage’ therapy to help them gain financial independence.
